The reality is we are brothers in Christ and that is ALL that matters. I look forward to worshiping God in heaven with you! YES, things have gotten a lot more emotional lately. The sad thing is that we the people have let the gov't (republican OR democrat) effect our personal relationships! I'm so sad to hear what Becca says above. I value life - all life - even those who I disagree with. Never is it right to wish death on someone!!!!!SteveWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17914107897266842318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8031426008857759985.post-90342443975079301552009-09-01T19:10:13.947-04:002009-09-01T19:10:13.947-04:00I have definitely felt ganged up on this past year...I have definitely felt ganged up on this past year--you think Ga is conservative, try oklahoma....the only state where no county voted for Obama (though the principal of michael's school does have an obama poster in his office!). The other day I was horrified when someon suggested that she hoped Obama would be assasinated!!! When I tried to appeal to her by saying that I would not even have wanted George W assassinated she replied that she at least hoped Obama would soon be impeached and that he definitely deserved that for completely disobeying the constitution. I stood up and left at that point. Sigh. Well, keep sending to me--I enjoy knowing someone out there shares my view.<br />Love you daddy!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11317250361482898155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8031426008857759985.post-8570423155763940502009-08-31T11:52:51.144-04:002009-08-31T11:52:51.144-04:00Great thoughts Brian! I wish we could have an actual slate of people to vote for; no more just one person from each major party. I do see that the current political climate has only divided us further (as your own observations have shown). I worry that this once great country is stooping so low that we will wake one day and not recognize ourselves. I continue to pray for guidance for our elected officials, that they will make decisions for the good of all and not just their own pockets (and deeper they are getting). I believe that we have strayed so far from what our founding fathers had in mind that there will be no way to go back. And still I pray... unceasingly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
